Noms communs: Morillon.
Chapeau: 2-4 cm, conique, avec des alvéoles brun
ochracé, ou brun grisâtre, séparées
par des côtes verticales plus foncées,
noirâtres.
Pied: 5-16 x 1-2 cm, plus ou moins cylindrique, souvent
renflé par places et un peu courbé ou tortueux,
blanchâtre à ochracé, creux, fragile, et
rentrant nettement à l'intérieur du chapeau, qui
parait ainsi semi-libre.
Chair: mince, fragile, brun grisâtre.
Spores: hyalines, elliptiques, 20-25 x 12-16 µ.
Habitat: au printemps, sous feuillus et dans les bois
mixtes.
Observations: comestible. Comme pour les morilles, à ne consommer que bien cuit et en petite quantité.
